Liverpool Plains Shire Council is developing a new Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) to guide how we will make our community more inclusive and accessible for our residents and visitors, regardless of ability.
Our DIAP will detail the individual actions, projects and programs that Council will undertake over the next four years to improve the way people with disability access services and participate in community life.
The DIAP will specifically address four key outcomes:
Promoting positive attitudes and behaviours towards people with disability,
Creating a more liveable community,
Improving access to meaningful employment outcomes for people with disability, and
Enhancing systems and processes to make it simpler for people with disability to access the services and supports they need.
We invite input and feedback from all members of the Liverpool Plains Shire community, especially people with disability, carers and support people, and local disability service providers. Your feedback will help shape the priorities and approaches in our new DIAP.

We are seeking your feedback to understand what’s working well and what can be improved. We welcome your ideas to improve access and inclusion for people with disability who live, work and visit the Liverpool Plains Shire.
